§ 2.12.050. Assistant city manager.

The city manager may appoint one or more assistants and/or deputies as he or she may deem appropriate, and grant to such persons such powers as he may deem appropriate to act in his name in his absence or disability, provided, however, that any compensation to such assistants must be approved by the city council.
